HYPE GUY POSTThis is a DOUBLE post because I just love this photo so much!!Meet Dagne Harris and Macy Robison from StoryBrand and Business Made SimpleFrom my trip to Nashville, this was a private dinner at Donald Miller's carriage house and it was Macy's birthday!I'm not sure how much Macy loved the birthday attention, but it was an absolute joy to share her birthday with her. She is a great leader and role model in the community and I always feel great after a conversation with her. She has the super power of always taking the conversation a totally different way than I expect, in such a calm and sure way. That essence is what I want to HYPE.Dagne is an operations assistant (hope I remembered that right) and I was super impressed with how she showed up through this whole experience. It was kind of a big deal for me to show up to BMS headquarters and walking into any new building always makes me a little nervous. The genuine way she lit up to welcome me when I walked in set the tone for my whole experience. Watching Dagne work and interact through this experience was inspiring. She is someone who was just calmly good at her job and such a delightful person. Every business needs to have a Dagne on the team.Macy and Dagne, consider yourselves HYPED!

HYPE GUY POSTI am writing these posts because of my friend Nicole! I don't think she is on LinkedIn, but she has been instrumental in my hype guy journey.We met at Lindsay Little Theatre, working on a show called A Night On Broadway. For some reason they let me host and sing in the ensemble. Through preparation and rehearsals I got to know her and others in the cast and one day I was telling her how impressed I was with how she was working on all the songs and I said "I am your new hype guy" and the director who was close said "Brian, I hate to break it to you, but you are everybody's new hype guy."This past weekend, Nicole joined me to see Wicked, we had the opportunity to sit in the front row, and I cried with joy the whole time. Nicole is not in business but loves side hustles. We joked that since I became her hype guy she's made hundreds of dollars on new side hustle work. We shot a commercial together, and she dog sits.Thank you Nicole for the opportunity to really embrace being a Hype Guy! For being a good friend, and for the perfect day seeing Wicked.

HYPE GUY POST!!!James Sweeting you are up for a HYPE!James is the Director of Story at StoryBrand and Business Made Simple and if you are a fan of the Business Made Simple with Donald Miller podcast you will recognize James as a recent (and future 😉 ) guest host.In a hot goss sesh the other day someone described James as having "the best Zoom energy ever" and that is TRUTH! I could not think of one person who even comes close to his energy and how positive he can make you feel.This selfie was the first selfie I'd taken on my camera in almost a year. I had just rolled up to Goose Hill (Donald Miller's home) for a small group dinner and I was a little nervous to meet everyone. That anxiety lasted about 5 seconds as I discovered everyone was somehow way better than they were on Zoom.James, you get hyped because you've been such a great guide to me, and your excitement has encouraged me to take some leaps that have led to growth.I admire your energy, your work ethic, and your creativity. You can sing, write music, do improv, and you just make people feel good.Follow James everyone, he's going to be a big star! If you want to live with open story loops in your mind, you should definitely hunt down his podcast (Apollo Midnight) and then get on the peer pressure wagon to make him create more episodes! Hype Guy PostI was going to wait a hot minute to do a post for Aundrea De Leon but I love celebrating when people make big decisions and Aundrea just made a huge one!Recently, I got the opportunity to finally meet Aundrea in person at Business Made Simple headquarters (That's Aundrea between me and Donald Miller). I wish I got a selfie, but we'll use the group photo.Aundrea is the reason I'm doing Hype Guy posts. During the workshop, she led us through Why.os, and we did The Working Genius. I had made a joke about being a "hype guy" and then discovered my working genius is "the idealistic supporter." Aundrea asked, "What if for the next 12 months, you are a hype guy?"During that afternoon I could feel at my core Aundrea's fire for transformation coaching. So I was not shocked at all when I learned Aundrea made a big decision to return to being a full time coach.Aundrea, you get all the HYPE. You've had such a big impact on my transformation and development as a professional and as a coach. I am incredibly grateful to have you as a colleague in the coach community. You bring with you the unique skill of being able to kindly challenge people to be their best. The kind of skill that sounds easy when you read about it in books, but it's rare to feel in the present. I can't wait to see what you do next and how many people you help transform!
